Wild Petunias bloom from late spring to early summer, with a light purple flower whose individual blooms last a single day. They self seed readily, so deadhead if you want to minimize that. They are not edible, but do make a good substitute to Mexican Petunias, which are invasive in Florida. They attract many pollinators and are the larval host for Common Buckeyes and White Peacock butterflies.
