This is the Florida State wildflower. Will self-seed, which allows it to spread easily, so deadhead to avoid if desired. Its bright flowers stay good in a vase for 7-10 days and make an excellent cut flower, and it also holds its color well during pressing and drying. It is a good nectar flower for bees and butterflies, with its yellow spring blooming flowers.
