These flowers are heavily used by butterflies, skippers, bees, and wasps for nectar. Will re-seed, so plant where it can spread. It has unique white flowers and blooms from summer through early winter.

The people of the Caicos Islands use the plant in various medicinal forms (paste, etc) to cure sores. It is also used by people in Panama for agricultural cattle.
