This tall, summer blooming flower, is pink and goes dormant in winter. It has fragrant, vanilla scented blooms. Can be divided in fall or early spring and should be cut down in winter. Will reach for the sun if too shady. Seeds feed birds and other small wildlife. It attracts many butterflies and is the larval host plant for clymene moth (Haploa clymene).
